ABCs of Death Winner… is me! Innit?!

Hey so I won a film making competition and I couldn’t be happier.
To be labeled “the next great horror director”? And join the ranks with some of the industries best? What more could I ask for?? It’s incredible.

Look, I didn’t achieve this by myself. I had a great deal of help from friends, family and fans.

My biggest heart felt Thank yous…

Tim Atkins, my beautifully intelligent audio engineering friend who ALWAYS has time to work on my projects. Tim not only did the sound for T IS FOR TOILET and various other projects of mine but he’s supported me from the very start not just as a true friend of the truest sense but as a firm believer that my films are actually any good.

Kim Richardson, the voice of the mother in T IS FOR TOILET. Another very close friend who I met at film school and actually directed a short film written by me back in 2004 (Our Nuclear Experiment… I should upload that to YouTube now i think about it).

Executive Producers- Hamish Moseley, Lee Kelleher, Andrew Taylor and James G Wall.
A couple of them I go WAY back with, I’ve known Taylor since I was 4! I asked for donations back in July while I was broke and these guys pulled through and it helped lighten a tough time when I couldn’t even buy a bottle of beer from the corner shop when I was dying from the summer heat.

My friends [you know exactly who you are] and my family. I asked everyone I knew, I mean EVERYONE – My Edgar Wright Twitter DIRECT MESSAGE privileges didn’t turn out to be the ‘BATMAN SPOTLIGHT’ I hoped for, never mind, am sure he’s a busy & popular man. A lot of you understood my situation and gave me your full support and I am eternally grateful…

Fans of hardcastle claymation, I feel you!! You’re incredibly loyal and just INCREDIBLE! I can’t use that word enough, is there a better word than incredible? There is just no way in hell I would have gotten into the final round without you lot. I hope you all enjoyed taking part in my TOILET COMPETITION too where I chose a winner 2 weeks ago – Robert Roper won a rare comic book of mine, t-shirt, melty face toy and hardcastle baseball cards.

Thank you to judges of the comp for choosing T IS FOR TOILET- I look forward to joining you lot on the big screen!

Thank you to the competition organisers, unlike many many many competitions I’ve entered in the past, these guys have been present though-out, offering feedback and assistance at such a high level.

And finally, The T IS FOR Competitors. The best competition spirit I’ve ever witnessed, everyone was excited and stoked to take part and everyone was just as curious about each other and the general vibe was one of pure nervous excitement. I ENJOYED so many of the shorts as I am a massive fan of short format horror and so THANK YOU for making the films you did! And hope to stay in touch with a lot of you, i’m on twitter and facebook
