Storyboards: HAMSTER HELL 01 & 02

I’ll release these two at a time, the interesting thing about these storyboards I made for the HAMSTER HELL series is that they’re not storyboards in the true sense.

Rather than using the boards to plan out my shots, I use them to set the pace of the story. The trick is to express the whole story of the episode by illustrating just 6 boxes.

When I come to translating the storyboards into claymation, I kinda make up the shots while I’m on set but I give myself the rule that I have 10 seconds of footage to shoot in order to portray one box of storyboard.

Also… because the over all subject of the series is quite bleak, I make more of an attempt to introduce humor and remove some of the hasty language. I mean, I didn’t want to depress the HELL outta anyone watching them.
